Originally developed for a Canadian government customer, ECAT has been deployed in the field since 2007. Years of experience in real-world situations helping customers mean the technology in ECAT can benefit all organizations facing a new generation of security threats–unknown malware and undetectable Advanced Persistent Threats (APT). Designed to evade signature-based anti-virus and traditional intrusion prevention systems, this breed of malware can remain undetected for months or years. A case in point is the 2010 cyber attack (Operation Aurora) on Google—which went undetected for eight months—as well as on several other large Fortune 500 companies. The new reality is that no organization no matter the security resources is immune to such attacks.
Today, we are at the industry forefront with innovative solutions that deal with the most potentially damaging current threats. Our mission is to lead the security industry, and continue to invest in R&D as we take today’s and tomorrow’s security threats and challenges head-on.
Our ECAT development team is based in Quebec, Canada. For more information about us or ECAT Advanced Malware Detection, email us at info@siliciumsecurity.com or get our full contact details here. You can stay updated by subscribing to our newsletter or our blog.
