President & Founder
Pascal Longpré is the President and founder of Silicium Security. He has been active in the information security field for over 15 years during which he acted as a consultant for large Canadian public institutions and as a trainer for several police forces. From penetration testing to security architecture design, risk analysis and incident response procedure implementation, all for large corporations, his career path has given him broad experience in
enterprise information security.
In 2005, taking advantage of this distinctive expertise, he gathered a team of programmers to develop solutions to address issues specific to computer security within government agencies and other organizations at risk from targeted attacks. The result was Silicium’s flagship product, ECAT, innovative and unique advanced malware detection software used by large organizations in multiple countries since 2007.
Martin Rosa oversees the Silicium Security development team and is primarily responsible for conducting reverse-engineering on Windows kernel for advanced detection mechanisms, as well as extracting malware behaviors to ensure detection.
Over the course of his 14-year career in the security field, Mr. Rosa has amassed significant skills in performing detailed technical security evaluation of systems and networks, programming, testing and reverse-engineering, designing and reviewing security architectures, as well as conducting computer forensic analysis. He has also developed tools and private exploits to demonstrate vulnerabilities and weaknesses in various applications including: Online Casinos, VMWare ESX, Netscreen Firewall, EMC Legato Networker, CA CCC/Harvest, CA AutoSys, Passlogix v-Go and Lotus Notes amongst others.
Prior to joining Silicium Security, Mr. Rosa was a Security Consultant at Hydro-Québec where he performed in-depth technical security evaluations of software and hardware solutions. He also conducted penetration tests for internal clients and provided security guidance in crisis situations (spam, virus propagation). Mr. Rosa’s career in IT Security also included positions at vCIS (acquired by Internet Security Systems) in Australia, the National Bank of Canada and Groupe Conseil DMR.
